§ 00
For commercial electrical contractors

Bill every change order your crew agrees to.

Commercial electrical shops give away extras and learn which jobs lost money after they close. Bonded gets every change order signed, priced and onto the next pay app, and shows you the WIP while you can still fix the job.

Flat price · Unlimited users · 30-day pilot on one live job. No card.

§ 01
What it costs you now

The job's making money until the WIP says it isn't.

Extras get agreed on a walk with the superintendent and never written down. The pay app goes out late with last month's changes missing. The answer on which jobs made money arrives from your CPA four to six weeks after the job closed.

On an $8M shop, unbilled extras alone run $60,000 to $150,000 a year. That one is our estimate. The numbers that follow are not.

§ 02
Change orders

Extras get signed before the drywall goes up.

Your foreman logs the extra from his phone: a photo, a voice note, done. No prices on his screen.
The office prices it from the contract's billing rates and your price book, with overhead and profit per the GC's cap table.
A change order request PDF in the GC's format, or an e-signature link for owner-direct work, goes out the same day.
The Changes dashboard ages every open request, so nothing dies in a superintendent's inbox.
§ 03
Progress billing

Pay apps go out on time with every approved change on them.

A schedule of values where every approved change is its own line.
Pay applications in the G702/G703 format, with retainage held on work and stored materials and released when it is due.
T&M and service invoices from signed tickets, and payments applied with the retainage portion tracked.
Billed to date is always gross, so the receivable and the retainage never get confused.
§ 04
Job cost

Know which jobs are losing money while you can still fix them.

Budget vs. actual by cost code, with approved hours and vendor bills landing as they happen.
Committed cost from purchase orders, so what is on order counts before the bill arrives.
Cost to complete by cost code, owned by your PM, with a fade alert when margin slips past your threshold.
Every dollar drills down to the time entries, bills and change orders behind it.
§ 05
WIP

A WIP report your banker will accept, in one click.

Percent complete by the cost-to-cost method, the way your CPA, your bank and your surety already do it.
Over and under billing in two columns with two totals, never netted.
Period close freezes the snapshot. Prior months stay exactly as reported.
Record the figure your CPA used, so the bank conversation is one line instead of a reconciliation.
§ 06
How it works

Three steps. No months-long implementation.

Start on the jobs you already have.

Enter opening balances as of the day you start: cost to date, billed to date, retainage held. Import customers, jobs, cost codes and budgets by CSV. QuickBooks stays where it is.

Your foreman logs extras from the phone he already carries.

Nothing to install. Clock the crew, snap the photo, say what changed. He never sees a rate or a price.

Pay apps and the WIP come out of what is already there.

Approved changes land on the schedule of values. Approved hours and bills land on job cost. The WIP schedule is a report, not a project.

§ 07
The price

§ 08
Who it is for

Built for the owner who still walks the jobs.

For

Open-shop commercial electrical contractors with 15 to 60 people
Commercial service plus tenant improvements and small projects, $25K to $750K
Billing GCs on pay apps and property managers on invoices
QuickBooks Online for the books, a CPA for the taxes

Not for

Residential-only service shops
Union shops with multi-local payroll
Shops over 75 people
Bid shops that need Accubid replaced
§ 09
Who built this

I'm Matthew. You'll get me, not a sales rep.

Bonded exists because owners of 15-to-60-person electrical shops lose money they have already earned: extras nobody wrote down, and job costs that arrive six weeks late. I build it with the shops that run it, one live job at a time. Questions, or want to see your own numbers in it? Email me.

§ 10
Questions

Before you book.

Does it work with QuickBooks Online?Q.01 +
Bonded runs alongside QuickBooks Online. Customers, jobs, invoices, pay apps and payments export as CSV for your bookkeeper, and a one-way export into QuickBooks is planned. There will be no two-way sync, on purpose. Two-way sync is where contractor software projects die.
Will my foreman use it?Q.02 +
It runs in the phone browser he already has, with nothing to install. Clock the crew, snap a photo, say what changed, done. He never sees a rate or a price, so nothing on his screen is a secret.
Can we start mid-job?Q.03 +
Yes. Every shop does. You enter opening balances as of the day you start: cost to date, billed to date, retainage held. Budget vs. actual, pay apps and the WIP are right from the first month instead of wrong until those jobs close.
Do we have to give up Accubid or our Excel estimates?Q.04 +
No. Build estimates in Bonded or import the budget by CSV. A won estimate in Bonded becomes the budget and the schedule of values without anyone rekeying it.
Is this ServiceTitan?Q.05 +
No. ServiceTitan is built for residential call volume. Bonded is built for tenant improvements and small commercial projects plus commercial service, for shops of 15 to 60 people, with no months-long implementation.
Do field users see our rates or margin?Q.06 +
Never. Foremen and techs see hours, quantities and descriptions. The rule is enforced on the server, not hidden on the screen.
How is this different from Knowify, eSUB or Siteline?Q.07 +
Knowify is priced per user and leans residential. eSUB and Siteline sell to larger subcontractors by quote, and Siteline covers billing only, on top of an ERP you already run. Bonded is one flat price for the whole shop and runs the job from the foreman's extra to the WIP line.
What does it cost?Q.08 +
A flat monthly price by the size of your field crew, from $1,200 a month, with unlimited users and no per-tech fee. Run a pilot on one live job for 30 days before you pay.
Does it do payroll or replace our accounting?Q.09 +
No. Approved hours feed job cost and export as a CSV your payroll service accepts. QuickBooks stays your general ledger.
Can we take our data if we leave?Q.10 +
Yes. Every record exports as CSV at any time, including after you cancel. No exit fee.
We are a union shop. Does it fit?Q.11 +
Not yet. Multi-local union payroll is outside what Bonded handles today. Open-shop contractors with the occasional prevailing-wage job are the fit.

The walkthrough

Start with your next extra.

Thirty minutes. Bring one live job. We set it up on the call, so you see your own numbers instead of a demo company's.

One email from a person within a business day. No sequence.
Walkthrough first, then a 30-day pilot on that job. No card.
Bring your office manager. They have the veto anyway.
